My stay at Hotel De La Poste was overall enjoyable, thanks to its excellent location in the heart of the French Quarter and friendly staff. While I found the room a bit worn and in need of some TLC, the beautiful courtyard and engaging bar area made up for it. The responsive service from Mei at the front desk added a personal touch to my experience. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to be in the center of it all, but potential guests should be aware of the room condition issues before booking. 😊

5.8/10

My stay at Hotel De La Poste was a mix of highs and lows. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the location in the heart of the French Quarter made it easy to explore. However, the room cleanliness and overall service could use some improvement, especially during busy times. Overall, it had a charming vibe but left me wanting better consistency.

Rooms
7.0
The room design was unique, but I found cleanliness lacking, which detracted from the experience. I enjoyed having a patio that overlooked the beautiful courtyard, but some noise from the street was noticeable.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally responsive and helpful, but there were moments of confusion, especially during check-in. While I appreciated the extra effort to accommodate my requests, the execution fell short at times.
Location

Being in the French Quarter allowed easy access to many attractions and nightlife, yet it felt slightly removed from the noise of Bourbon Street, which was nice.
Dining

I had a mixed experience in the hotel's restaurant; while some food options were good, the service was surprisingly slow, leading me to dine elsewhere.

I found the hotel's prime location in the French Quarter a real highlight during my stay, making it easy to explore local attractions. However, the room I received did show noticeable signs of wear and tear, which detracted from the overall experience. The staff, while polite, did not provide the level of personalized service I expected for a hotel at this price point.

Rooms
5.0
My room had several marks from previous guests, which made it feel less clean and fresh. I expected a more luxurious experience, particularly given the price I paid.
Service
6.0
While the staff were friendly, I did not feel they provided the warm, welcoming service that I anticipated. It felt more transactional than personal.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, allowing me to walk to many key spots in the French Quarter easily. I enjoyed being close to the action without the noise of Bourbon Street.
Dining
7.0
I had a fair experience with the breakfast, which could have been better. However, the restaurant overall had great offerings that I appreciated.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel had some nice features, like a beautiful courtyard, other aspects felt outdated and cramped.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel De La Poste, where the location in the heart of the French Quarter was undoubtedly a highlight. However, the service was inconsistent, with several frustrating issues during check-in and my stay. While the restaurant SoBou served delicious food, my room had cleanliness problems that detracted from my overall satisfaction.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was poorly maintained with dirty walls and minimal amenities. I was disappointed with the lack of blankets and the outdated furnishings. It seemed like the rooms could use a thorough upgrade.
Service

Some staff members were friendly, but I encountered significant communication issues. There were miscommunications regarding room upgrades and check-ins, which left me feeling frustrated. I also found room service to be slow and inattentive.
Location

The hotel's location was fantastic, allowing easy access to key attractions in the French Quarter. I loved being close enough to explore without being in the middle of loud nightlife.
Dining
8.0
Dining at SoBou was a great experience, with high-quality dishes that showcased local cuisine. I enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant during my meals.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities, while promising, fell short in terms of upkeep. The pool area was small, and other common areas were not as clean as I expected from a hotel of this caliber.

6.2/10

My stay at Hotel De La Poste wasn't all smooth sailing. The location in the heart of the French Quarter was fantastic, making it easy to explore the area. However, the room I checked into had issues: it was quite cramped, and there was a strong perfume smell. Plus, the noise insulation was poor, allowing me to hear everything from the neighboring room. The staff were friendly and responsive, which helped ease some of my frustrations.

Rooms
5.0
I found the rooms to be on the small side, and even though I was offered another room, it still showed several signs of wear and tear.
Service
5.0
While many staff members were pleasant and helpful, there were distinct lapses in service that made the experience frustrating, especially with delayed requests.
Location
9.0
The location was superb, right in the heart of the French Quarter, allowing for easy access to many attractions and the local nightlife.
Dining
6.0
I had some challenges with room service and found the dining options to be somewhat limited after certain hours, but the food at the restaurant was generally good.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were decent, but the state of the hotel showed its age, and cleanliness could have been better.
